ARISTOCRAT LAURA SWORD
In this poorly staged clip, aristocrat Laura is going to be executed and is being detained by the headsman. He demands payment for his job as executioner, but she has nothing: she has been escaping for some time, so the fine dress, white stockings and princess shoes are the only things still in her possession.
The headsman evaluates that, feels the material, raises the skirt up to see the white stockings, and also has a look at her hair, which he considers nice and very valuable: he may take them as well after the execution and sell them.
Laura lets him inspect her with dignity, even though she knows he will soon strip her body off and take everything away from it as soon as she is headless. But she's given the right to have her hands free and give him the signal when she's ready, so she kneels down, sets her arms horizontal as the sword caresses the back of her neck... It takes some unnerving wait for her to relax, but finally she puts the arms down and with one quick blow her head is off, and the body flops down motionless.
